Music Concert : Red Bull Tour Bus #OffTheRoof

Music Concert organised by Redbull , which is part of world wide bus tour called "Red Bull Tour Bus#Off  the Roof at Richardson & Cruddas mill & fabrication yard compound at Byculla.

Venue seems to be looks like an odd place but old factory big tin shade turned out to be a perfect place.I always enjoyed these English music concerts although I don't follow English music closely except played by Kids during drives.Best part of these live concerts is the environment & million Decibels and escatacy & energy , which is in contrast with the Indian music which I also enjoy .

Bhayank Maut as usual are the loudest at full throttle however unable to catch single word , but overjoyed. Raghu Dixit & Pentagram by Vishal Dadlani were also very good & full entertainers as usual.Raghu sang in Hindi & in Kannada.

Sid with friends & Nicx with me had enjoyed every bit of the high Octane extravaganza.

Juhu to Pawana Lake , Lonavala by Seaplane

Family Trip to Pawana Lake , Lonavala from Juhu by Sea Plane , operated by Mehair , half n hour flight .Experienced bird eye view of Worli Sea Link , Pune Expressway , JNPT and lush green Lonavla , high peak mountains & of-course Pawana Lake n dam.Single engine 9 Seater small plane ride has also partially fulfilled my wish to charter a plane (see my wish list on blog's right side column) , as besides four of us , there was only a couple with us in the same flight.Take off was normal from Juhu AAI Airport which is used by ONGC & other private operators and personal Air craft /Helicopters owners , but landing on water & further sailing up to the jetty is life time experience , just awesommme !
From barge to boat club boat  also arranged by Mehair.
Pawana lake is beautiful, huge  ,surrounded by green mountains , spark clean blue water , unspoiled till now , as route from Lonavala is slightly odd , not many people are visiting the lake , There is a restaurant serving snacks n food , Water scooter , boat ride as well as horse ride also available.
Option is available for one side or both sides rides, soon they are going to start services to Arthur lake Bhandardara, Shirdi , Goa etc.

हरे काँच की चूड़ियाँ

उस दिन कुछ कागजात ढूंढते हुए वो पुराना लकडी का बक्सा मिला , खोला तो उसमे दो काँच की चूड़ियो के टुकड़े मिले हरे काँच की , तो सब काम छोड़ कर बस बक्सा लेकर बैठ गया , और भूल गया की क्या ढूंढ  रहा था , फिर अतीत में झाँकने की कोशिश करने   लगा .

कोई कॉमन फ्रेंड के यहाँ शादी में मिली थी वो कई साल हो गए , शहर छोड़ने के बाद सालों बाद या फिर स्कूल छोड़ने के बाद वो मिली थी , वैसे खबर लगती रहती थी , घ्रर में कभी कबार जिक्र हो जाता था , आखिर बचपन साथ ही गुजारा था , वो ही स्कूल , मोहल्ला , घर वालों का आपस में मेल जोल तो था ही.
मिले पुरानी यादें ताज़ा करी सुख दुःख बांटे वगैराह वगैराह ,अच्छी लग रही थी , हमेशा की तरह , फिर रात को म्यूजिकल प्रोर्ग्राम था , गाना बजाना , डांस भी हुआ  , तभी डांस करते हुए उसका हाथ कहीं टकराया और २-३ चूड़ियाँ टूट गयी , लेकिन वो इतनी मगन थी की ध्यान भी नहीं दिया , तब मेने वो चूड़ियों के टुकड़े उठा कर अपनी जेब में रख लिए , लेकिन मेने ऐसा क्यों किया , मुज़हे कभी समझ नहीं आया , बाद में उन टुकड़ों को देखा वो हरे कांच की चूड़ियों के टुकड़े थे , तब गौर से देखा उसने खूब साडी चूड़ियाँ डाल रखी थी , ज्यादातर हरे कांच की , बहुत खूबसूरत , मन तो किया अभी हाथ  थाम लूं , उन्हें छू कर देखूं . जिन्हे बचपन में कितनी ही बार थामा होगा .लेकिन तब सोचा न था की वो  हाथ मैं  अब थाम नहीं सकता था , देर हो गयी थी .
एक वजह और भी हो सकती है उन चूड़ियों के टुकड़े सँभालने की , हुआ यूँ की बचपन की बातें करते हुए उसने बताया की उसे अच्छा लगा था जब मैने उसकी फ्राक पर स्याही छिड़क दी थी गुस्से में .अच्छा लगा सुन कर , और में  और वो दोनों ही nostalgic मूड में चले गए .

एक ही स्कूल में जाते थे , अधिकतर साथ ही बैठते थे , वो पढ़ने में होशियार थी होमवर्क करने में हमेशा मदद भी करती थी , मेरे घर में मुज़हे ताने भी सुंनने पड़ते थे की ये ना हो तो लाटसाहब कभी पास ही ना हो , तब में अपना गुस्सा उसपर निकालता था , लेकिन थोड़ी देर बाद फिर वो ही , बचपन भी अजीब होता है , पल में तोला पल में माशा , सब भूल जाता है , लेकिन स्कूल छोड़ने के बाद में सब कुछ  भूल जाऊंगा , सोचा ना था .खैर किस्सा ऐसा था की शहर में मेला लगा था हफ्ते भर तक , सब रात को मेले में जाते थे वो भी जाती थी अपने घर वालों के साथ , उस रात भी गयी थी , में भी अपने दोस्तों के साथ गया था , दुसरे दिन क्लास में पंडित माड़साब ने होम वर्क पूछा तो कई और के साथ मुज़हे भी खड़ा होने पड़ा , लेकिन वो बैठी रही , होम वर्क जो कर के लाई थी , तब मुज़हे गुस्सा आया , उस दिन माड़साब ने हथेली लाल कर दी थी खड़े फुट्टे से , स्कूल के बाद उसने मेरा हाथ पकड़ कर देखने की कोशिश करी की कितनी लगी है , लेकिन में कहाँ मानने वाला था इतना जल्दी , मुज़हे समज़ नहीं आ रहा था वो भी कल मेले में थी फिर होमवर्क कब कर लिया , लेकिन वो थी ही ऐसी .मैने बात नहीं करी और घर चला गया .

तब कोचिंग क्लासेज तो होती नहीं थी , तब हम 5-10 बच्चे पास ही रिटायर्ड हनुमान माड़साब के यहाँ पड़ने जाते थे शाम को , घर वाले भी सोचते थे जान छूटे , वहां तो शांति से बैठेंगे नहीं तो यहीं दोस्तों के साथ बस आवारागर्दी करते रहेंगे , हनुमान माड़साब काशी , मथुरा के पंडों जैसे दिखते थे , मास्टरनी भी मोटी सी थी , उनके बच्चे नहीं थे ,माड़साब धोती और  ऊपर घर में अधिकतर कुछ नहीं पहनते थे , दूध के और दाल में खूब सारा देसी घी डाल कर पीने के शौकीन थे , तब ज्यादा कैलोरी calculation नहीं होती थी , हमें भी कभी कभी खिलाते पिलाते रहते थे खास  कर खीर , या आटे का हलुवा .माड़साब तब फीस नहीं लेते थे कहते थे पेंशन से काम चल जाता है , और किस के लिए बचाना है , माँ फीस की जगह कभी आटा , चावल , तेल या देसी घी घर में रखवा देती थी , डैडी जिन्हे वो डागदर साहेब कहते थे कभी बीमारी में उनका इलाज़ कर देते थे .
माड़साब बैठे बैठे टेड़े मेढे होकर बम छोड़ते रहते थे और हम सब दबी जबान में हँसते थे , कई बार गिनते भी थे , माड़साब के यहाँ कलम और दवात चलती थे , और मेरे हाथ हमेशा गंदे और स्याही से सने रहते थे , था भी तो बेतरतीब , खैर उस दिन जब में गुस्से में था और वो वो एक सफ़ेद पर पिंक फूलों वाली फ्राक में थी तब ,टुएशन के बाद मैने उसकी फ्राक पर स्याही छिड़क कर अपनी भड़ास निकाली , की मैने होमवर्क नहीं किया तो तूने क्यों किया , बस ये ही बात , बाद में मुज़हे घर पर भी सुनना पड़ा था , उसकी माँ ने जो मेरी complaint  करी थी .
लेकिन दुसरे ही ही दिन हम फिर दोस्त बन गए , बचपन होता ही ऐसा है , ये तो जब हम अपने teens में आने के बाद 30-35 तक सब को भूल कर अपने में खो जाते हैं , नए रिश्तों में , दोस्तों में और अपने करियर में , हम उन सब लोगों को भूल जाते हैं जिन्होंने नींव रखी , मजबूत किया , संस्कार दिए , मुज़हे याद है मैने बड़े होने के बाद कभी जानने की कोशिश ही नहीं करी की हनुमान माड़साब कैसे हैं , बस एक बार पता लगा नहीं रहे , बस इतना ही !!

उस दिन उसने बताया की उससे उसकी फ्राक के ख़राब होने का दुख तो हुआ था लेकिन ये अच्छा लगा था की होमवर्क तो औरों ने भी नहीं किया था लेकिन उसका सिर्फ उस पर ही गुस्सा होना उसे अच्छा लगा था , इतने सालों बाद वो सुनकर बहुत अच्छा लगा ,.फिर वो टुकड़े ..., शायद , पता नहीं .फिर क्यों कभी पता नहीं किया उसके बारे में , कहाँ है , क्या कर रही है , एक स्टेज के बाद ही पता लगता है क्या छूटा , क्या पाया , ये ही तो ज़िन्दगी है ..सब कुछ ऐसा थोड़ी होता है जैसा हम चाहते हैं , या फिर ऐसा भी होता है जो छूट गया उसे ही हम तलाशते हैं ,

Manila Travelogue

Visit to Manila for 10 days was a relief from bored middle eastern trips , it's not as tourist destination like Malaysia , Singapore , still I enjoyed my stay there.
I find it's quite economical , prices are even less than any Indian city , Hotel, food , travel etc.City is green , so the whole region , some places are absolute clean , nice , some are not. Manila Bay road is picturestic , however  due to work load I did not seen much of the city .
City is like Bombay, feed everybody , provide shelter to all .culturally it's quite modern , working women every where , also entrepreneurs. I also managed to Find Indian hotel in Robinson Mall " New Bombay" , also Iranian hotel food was fantastic.

Hong Kong Airport

Visit to Manila & return via Hong Kong having 5 hour stopover was a great experience , specially visually .I am always fond of  Roads near seaside or also near any water body like River , Lake etc , and if it's  road along with Water I feel ecstatic and always would like to explore such locations , for the same reason I would like to explore Western Ghat sometime.
Airport is on an island, Hong Kong Landing runway is few  feet from the sea shore almost parallel .Also port is not very far  , Skypier at Airport provides speedy  Ferry's & Boats  services to Macau & mainland Hong Kong .Airport location is picturistic , I was more than happy to spent 5 hrs at the airport .Writing post only for the airport is not due to it's technological advance features , which many airports are having but mainly due to it's closeness with the  sea shore & surrounding mountains.

Lebanese TV serial “gj” means “ LAW "

I am in Saudi for short assignment of 3 weeks , here I am getting 2 Hindi Movie Channels , News & other regional , also few English Movie channels. So far I did not watched any Hindi movie , mostly seen or dubbed.

 While surfing TV channels glimpses of a Lebanese TV serial written in Arabic as “gJ” means  “ LAW” caught my attention , beautiful people & panoramic scenes. Now I am hooked to this drama series at 9:45 PM for 1 hr.


Inspired from Richard Gere “ Unfaithful” , I mean it was not Gere who was unfaithful but wife yes, Initial start is exactly similar , even scenes were copied like 1st encounter with books in hand on a windy afternoon & Guy’s nearby home n so on. So what !    I found it worth watching , seems to be customize for Modern Arabic Lebanese society known for their French connection , culturally or even looks , clothing, style , all over the top & fashionable.


Couple anyways is uber chic ,Designer dresses , with 2-3 Audi’s , Tata Range Rover , posh bungalow overseeing beautiful “Dhour el Choueir” town ,hills , down town, tree lined streets , wooden doors café etc. etc. My fav shot is Nyela driving back home late night after committing 1st crime or rather Sin , Car Flash light & Red lights zooming on a densely populated tree lines & the head line reflection ( see PIC).


Casting is great , all three forming a luv triangle are good looking , my fav is her Husband , I found him too dashing and elite, partially Silver beard suits him very well ,somehow I like his acting as well , a caring husband , caring son ,affectionate father of a girl child , a good business partner etc. , still she cheats on him , reason bored !! I don’t understand their conversations but seems to be a good man but busy with business , over worked , but in that way we all are in some way …


Story revolves round “Nyla” (Nadine Nassib Njeim) actually a former Miss Lebanon with Cindy Craford signature mole , also a fashion designer but no label or business setup, is stunning beautiful & expressive, 3rd angle is Jad (Youssef el Khal) , popular star essayed the role of a painter & a teacher .Whole class room looks like a fashion studio ,During my various stays in Gulf during last 20 years ,I observed that in all Lebanese reality TV shows all spectators are beautifully dressed & urban , I don’t think they represent the country’s well-being , no clue …


While drafting this Post , which took more than a week , I observed that Nyla’s husband is extremely caring for his old bed ridden mother & for another old man , who''s relation I do not understand,  his caring for old may be the reason for my liking for him , maybe I am biased …may be..

Series is a visual delight , a bigger canvas , beautiful cinematography , I enjoyed thoroughly & wait eagerly everyday for 8:45 PM slot on almost all days during my stay here.

जुगनी मेल मेल के कूद फांद के चक्क चकौटे जावे : HIGHWAY

Splendid  ! Imtiyaz Ali has proved again , that his movies are worth waiting , I or We were eagerly waiting for his next movie after Rockstar , & we were sure that there must be something in it to look for , just amazed to see A journey called "HIGHWAY" ,a Signature I Ali movie with large Canvas ,it is about finding yourself , listen to your heart , there is something more beyond comfort of your home , Experience it , where destination is not known , companions are not known. No matter who you are , how strong you may be , but everyone is having a child within , keep him/her alive , listen to him .
Alia as Veera & Randeep as Mahavir power pack  performances make this an unforgettable journey , which will not let you sleep comfortably atleast for few dayz, as rightly said by Javed Akthar , I too had similar experience , movie is getting played over n over again in my sub conscious mind .Amazing.
Cinematography & music is gr8 . I did not find  folk song by a Rajasthani group in Mp3/CD, searching now.

My answer is also Pahad/Mountain , specially along with the River , as compared to the Sea.Shot beautifully .

I am now a hardcore fan of Irshad Kamil after Rockstar , Cocktail, YJHD ,LAK , JWM  etc. etc....Just read lyricists ( sourced from net) too complicated , but so sweet , Patakha Guddi is like essence of the whole movie and defined Alia's character & Soha Saha  did same for Mahavir , who keeps on reminiscing about  his mother , some good , also bad.
